Directions for Use

  1. Flatten sheet on smooth surface to minimize any curl from packaging

  2. Remove fabric liner from back of film by peeling from an edge. Care should be taken to avoid damaging the paper or dry adhesive. It may help to place dry erase side flat on surface when starting liner removal.

  3. Place dry erase film on desired wall or surface. For best results, start with light pressure and make sure it is positioned correctly. If crooked or not in best spot, remove and reposition as needed. Once you are satisfied with placement, press on firmly.

  4. To reposition or adjust, simply peel the film off the wall by lifting from a corner. For best results, press in center of sheet when initially aligning and positioning sheets. This make it easier to avoid bending edges of sheet when lifting.

  5. Write and erase as needed. To maintain performance of board, it is recommended to wipe off at end of each day. If there is incomplete removal of marker, use a cleaning wipe or dry erase spray cleaner.

Tips and Tricks

  • If handled carefully to avoid damage, ShearGrip products can be reused several times on different surfaces. Take care when lifting at the edges, which tend to be the first places damaged.

  • ShearGrip products work on most interior surfaces, but avoid areas prone to high humidity (showers), or big temperature swings (exterior window or near vents). High roughness surfaces may abrade the adhesive and diminish performance.

  • Dry erase marker not provided. It is recommended to test your dry erase marker before use to ensure it is erasable. This is a good quality dry erase film and it should be cleaned daily to avoid ghosting and promote a long life. Use an approved dry erase spray cleaner or cleaning wipe.

  • If you have trouble adhering to a particular surface, first make sure fabric liner is removed, and then ensure firm pressure is applied, particularly at edges. If problems continue, wipe surface down with diluted alcohol wipe, Clorox wipe, or lightly soaped sponge. If problems persist, try a different surface (and send us a message at kevin@AkronAscent.com – we have high confidence in our products, but we have not yet been able to test all the world’s surfaces).
